July update

I've been away a few days a few times the last few weeks, and I will travel again the following few weeks.

Anyway, there's been *some* progress. First of all, I've changed server. Ubuntu, Athlon 1800+, 512MB RAM and updated versions of FFMPEG and MPlayer are now my new friends. I had to spend a lot of time getting to know them, but it was well worth the time.

Concerning VidEd, I've changed some of the database structure. I'm working on letting people publish finished projects as well as copying published projects from other people.

It's not much to show right now, the GUI is really bad, as it sort of was designed for a system that has evolved a lot since the “design” was created. Which means navigation is quite non-intuitive….

Also, some of present bugs might be due to a server change, meaning that I switched both hardware and OS (FreeBSD to Ubuntu Linux). I know about several bugs, I just don't have the time to fix all of them right now. Right now I think of the system as a “proof-of-consept”.
