I'm trying out some weird stuff today. I am a single person able to program a few lines of code every day. The vided.org system will never become a _complete_ system for advanced users. But if I seamlessly integrate vided.org with an advanced open-source blog system, it might be just that. At least for the regular blogger, casually-video blog guy. And I think most of us still are.
I've chosen b2evolution as the blog system. It easily supports several blogs for each user as well as several users for each blog.
In practise, this will eventually mean that you can post both videoclips and SMIL-edited videos neatly in your b2evolution blog.
The result looks ugly (it usually does with me), and all I've done this far is making vided.org automatically write drafts to b2's database (just for user 'ag' so far). And the videos aren't embedded as they should be. But most of all I'm interested in opinions wether this is a good idea or not. I could probably easily manage to have a common login-system - means you log in once and are logged in both places. Other suggestions? Please mail me, st06371 at student.uib.no
OK, have a look, but don't laugh at it yet, it's just a “proof of consept” I guess.
